There are over 2 million orphans living in Uganda. ChildCry partners with a local organization to provide meals to kids living in an orphan home in the capital city of Kampala.
The children in the home are fed both on the weekends and twice a day at school–once during the day and once in the evening when they come home for dinner. A typical meal includes local nutritious favorites like rice, posho (maize), matooke (steamed green bananas), beans, greens, and beef.
Through child sponsorship, this organization is able to care for hundreds of kids across the four districts, providing education, school supplies, food, water, shelter, clothing and medical care.
